Although I believe everything should end at some point and that dragging a story for too long would only be detrimental to it, if I’d have to name one title that would be No. 6.
Just to clarify though – I don’t mean to say that this anime should go on forever. I do however believe that it (the anime) could have been executed better in some ways. The ending, for example, always seemed quite rushed to me. So it would’ve been nice to maybe extend No. 6 by a few more episodes and give the events more space to unfold. Alas, we got what we got. The story of Nezumi and Shion is still amazing though and I’m glad I stumbled upon this anime a few summers ago ^^.
Part of me wants to go all – every anime should be real!!!! But that would probably result in one heck of a clusterfudge :D:D.
So if I’d have to choose one particular anime, I think I’d go with Haibane Renmei (灰羽連盟). I really like the peaceful world created within this anime and the idea of just having this place in between everything where you get to spend some time and focus on the more important and simple things in life ^^.
I’m pretty sure I might just remember a bunch of other quotes as soon as I finish writing this and go all ‘fuuuuuuudge, I should’ve mentioned this and/or that as well’. In the meantime though, I’ll go with the first quote that came to mind (and that stuck with me ever since I first heard it):
“A long time ago, Nunally, Suzaku, and I talked about something. We wondered what happiness would look like if we could give it a physical form. If I’m not mistaken, I think it was Suzaku that said that the shape of happiness might resemble glass. His reasoning made sense. He said that even though you don’t usually notice it, it’s still definitely there. You merely have to change your point of view slightly, And then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light. I doubt that anything else could argue its own existence more eloquently.”
― Lelouch Vi Britannia
Ok so this, imho, is one of the most epic and awesome scenes out there ^^. First of all, we get to see how amazingly powerful both these servants actually are. Then Rider finally sees his dream fulfilled and though Gilgamesh is a meanie most of the time, we get to see the more noble and respectful side of him once more ^^.
Rider was charismatic and awesome as fudge from the start and the fact that he checked out in such an epic way is further proof of just how brilliant a character he is :D.
Well, I know this is gonna be a wee bit on the general side, but my answer for this post is – pretty much any fight that Claire Stanfield’s (Baccano!) involved in xD.
Gotta love his moves (what with him being a former acrobat and all) and how insanely crazy he is (not unlike most of Baccano!‘s cast really :D). So yeah, go watch Baccano! if you haven’t already and you’ll know what I’m talking about :D:D.
SPOILER ALERT for Grave of the fireflies incoming!!!! (although it’s not that big of a spoiler considering the anime I’m talking about :(…)
I think I’ll go with Setsuko’s death, from Grave of the fireflies ().
Dear God, I remember I cried my eyes out when I first watched this movie. Probably one of the things that made Setsuko’s death even more sad is that, for a moment, you have this glimmer of hope – Seita finally managed to get some food and next thing you know… while Seita’s off to prepare dinner, Setsuko falls alseep and never wakes up again. Just like that. No screaming, no crying, no yelling. No nothing.
I know it sounds cheap, but I just can’t put into words the feelings this movie evokes in me.
As always, thanks for stopping by to have a read! ^^
WARNING! Spoilers for Code Geass ahead, so read at your own discretion! :D:D
Now I might’ve been too naive and lost and confused or whatever, but I just can’t forget how I felt when I found out Lelouch Lamperouge’s actual plan and final goal, during the last half of the last episode of Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch R2 (コードギアス 反逆のルルーシュR2). I semi-spoiled myself without wanting to even before finishing the series and went all ‘oh well, Lulu dying is probably the best way to go with things, considering all he’s done’, etc, etc, etc.
But then I get to the final episode and find out everything that was actually going on and what Lulu had in mind all this time and…. I have to admit I started crying just as much as Nunnally. Call me impressionable, but I just couldn’t help but be in awe of the sacrifice (and selflessness, I guess) that Lelouch was willing to make in order to make his wish come true. And the way everything was put together (scenes, music, the voice-acting) just made the whole revelation all the more amazing.
So yeah, there you have it. As always, thanks for stopping by! 🙂
On a side note, excuse the sudden burst of posts, I just realised I should really finish this challenge already ^^”.
Anyways, my favourite weapon used in an anime would probably be Sakura Kyouko‘s spear ^^.
Heck, I loved that weapon from the first time I saw it in the series. Yes, the fact that Kyouko is awesome most likely influenced me, but how can you not love a weapon that’s a normal spear but is made up of a bunch of linked pieces at the same time? :D:D
*drum roll* And the winner for this particular post is Sasahara Kōjirō(笹原 幸治郎) from Nichijō (日常) ^^.
I think one of the reasons why he manages to be funny and goofy and all that jazz is because he’s always doing ridiculous stuff in a very serious manner and not even realising how silly he is :D:D. In spite of that, you can’t really beat riding a goat to school, imho xD.
